Giles graduated in Auckland, New Zealand. He worked for Architectus on the Mathematics and Computer Sciences Building in Christchurch, which was ground breaking for its passive environmental design. 

He is registered to practice in the UK. He was Project Architect for Borgos Dance on the Louis T Blouin Foundation, Notting Hill and London representative for Renzo Piano Building Workshop on the Shard, London Bridge.

The studio has extensive experience in arts based projects. 

Giles has just published a book on the work of Auckland architect Claude Megson.
